What the warranty covers

The warranty covers failure of the coating itself — loss of its protective, hydrophobic properties or visible degradation — under normal use and the maintenance described in your care guide. It is in addition to your rights under Ontario and Canadian law and does not limit them.

The annual inspection requirement

A free annual inspection is required within 30 days of your install anniversary. There is no cost for the inspection itself. Booking it on schedule, together with following the care guide, is what keeps the warranty in place year over year rather than it being a one-time condition at installation.

Day-to-day care that protects the coating

Wait 7 days after installation before the first wash, then hand wash only, using a pH-neutral shampoo, clean microfibre mitts and a separate mitt for wheels, drying with a plush microfibre towel. Avoid automatic brush washes, and avoid abrasive or harsh chemicals, waxes, polishes and cleaner-waxes applied over the coating.

What falls outside the warranty

The warranty does not cover rock chips, scratches, scuffs and impact damage; collision damage or any panel that is repaired or repainted; damage from automatic brush washes or abrasive or harsh chemicals; contaminants left on the paint long enough to etch it; defects that existed before the coating was applied; or normal wear.

Making a claim

Send a photo of the issue if you can, then bring the car to the studio for inspection, which is free for a covered claim. If the issue is covered, the studio repairs or re-applies the affected area; warranty remedies are repair or re-application, not cash refunds. The warranty is transferable if you sell the car.

Gold vs Platinum: the maintenance requirement is the same

Both Gold — Three Years and Platinum — Five Years require the same free annual inspection within 30 days of your install anniversary and the same care-guide maintenance to stay valid; the length of coverage differs (3 years versus 5 years), and Platinum additionally includes one-step correction and paint-thickness measurement before the coating is applied, but neither tier is exempt from the annual inspection requirement. Keeping the same maintenance routine on either tier is what the warranty is conditioned on, not the price paid for the package.

At drop-off the studio inspects with you and confirms the price before work begins. Tell the studio about existing damage and remove personal items before arrival.
