New car ceramic coating vs PPF in Mississauga
On a new car, paint protection film (PPF) is the service that helps reduce stone-chip and road-debris damage; ceramic coating is the service that resists salt, UV and everyday contamination and makes washing easier. Neither replaces the other, so the right choice depends on what you are trying to prevent rather than on the car simply being new. The services can be combined: film on the impact zones, ceramic coating over the rest of the car, so the whole vehicle is covered against a different kind of damage.

What PPF protects on a new car
Paint protection film is a clear layer that sits on top of the paint and absorbs the impact of stones, grit and gravel before it reaches the clear coat. Partial Front covers the front bumper, headlights, the leading 18–24 inches of the hood and front fenders, and mirror caps, starting at $449 + HST and taking 1 day. Full Front covers the entire hood and front fenders edge to edge, starting at $1,199 + HST over 1–2 days. Track Pack adds rocker panels, A-pillars, door edges, handle cups and rear impact zones, from $1,799 + HST over 2–3 days. Full Body covers every painted panel, from $3,999 + HST over 4–6 days. A $150 deposit applies to paint protection film bookings and is credited toward the final price.
What ceramic coating adds on new factory paint
Gold — Three Years starts at $299 + HST for a car and includes a hand wash, iron fallout removal, clay decontamination, a panel wipe to bare clear coat, overnight curing, registration of the coating to your car at handover, and a free annual inspection, taking 2 days. Platinum — Five Years starts at $890 + HST for a car, adds paint thickness measured on every panel and one-step machine correction before coating, and takes 3–4 days. Paint is inspected before work. Platinum includes one-step correction; Gold does not include correction unless added.
Combining PPF and ceramic coating on the same car
Ceramic coating can be applied over paint protection film to support water beading and easier cleaning, so the whole car washes the same way regardless of what is underneath. The usual approach on a new car is film on the front bumper, hood, fenders and mirrors — the panels most exposed to highway debris — with a ceramic coating applied over the remaining painted panels for chemical and UV resistance.
Warranty terms to plan around
Paint protection film carries a 10-year warranty, issued by the film manufacturer (XPEL or 3M, depending on the film installed) and YYZ Detailing Haus, and requires a maintenance wash with the studio every 4 months to stay valid; it is transferable if you sell the car. Ceramic coating carries a 3-year (Gold) or 5-year (Platinum) warranty from YYZ Detailing Haus, requires a free annual inspection within 30 days of your install anniversary, and is also transferable on sale. All prices above are plus HST, and the final price for your specific vehicle is confirmed with you at drop-off.
Deciding between the two for your new car
If your priority is preventing chips from highway driving, start with film on the front end. If your priority is keeping the paint easier to clean through an Ontario winter and resisting salt and UV, a ceramic coating answers that directly. If you want both kinds of protection on a new car, film first and a coating over the top is the combination the studio installs.
Before you choose a package
Select Car, SUV or Truck on the service page to see the listed price for that size. Read the package inclusions and estimated time together: the lowest priced option is not automatically the right scope for your vehicle. At drop-off the studio inspects with you and confirms the price before work begins. Tell the studio about existing damage and remove personal items before arrival. If extra work is proposed, it needs your approval. For questions about the condition of the vehicle, use the quote form or call 647-323-7867. Booking opens Square, where you choose the service and appointment; a website link does not automatically preselect a package or apply an offer. Keep the handover care instructions with the written warranty and contact the studio if you are unsure about a product or cleaning method.

Questions
Does a brand-new car need paint correction before ceramic coating?
Not automatically. Paint is inspected first; a one-step correction is only carried out if the inspection finds defects. Platinum includes a one-step correction; Gold does not.
Can I put ceramic coating over paint protection film?
Yes. Ceramic coating can be applied over PPF to support water beading and easier cleaning.
Is a deposit required for these services?
Yes. Paint protection film and ceramic coating both require a $150 deposit, credited toward the final price.
Which service should go on first?
Paint protection film is applied to the panels it covers, and ceramic coating can then be applied over the film and the remaining painted panels.
