Ontario window tint rules
Ontario’s Highway Traffic Act section 73 prohibits coatings that obstruct the driver’s view or substantially obscure the interior through the windshield or front side windows. Section 73 itself does not state a numeric tint percentage.

What section 73 says
Section 73(2) prohibits window coatings that obstruct the driver’s view of the highway or an intersecting highway. Section 73(3) addresses coloured or reflective material on the windshield or windows directly left and right of the driver that substantially obscures the interior when viewed from outside.
Do not rely on a single percentage
A film shade alone is not a guarantee of compliance. Factory glass and applied film together affect visibility. Inspection requirements and road-use law are not interchangeable; ask the studio to confirm the proposed front-side shade before installation.
What the studio offers
YYZ Detailing Haus offers carbon film only, on side and rear windows. Windshield film is available as a separate package. Sedan, SUV and pickup pricing is shown below. Keep windows up for 3 to 4 days after installation and use ammonia-free cleaner.
